A little about me!
Hello! My name is Shawn Churchill and I've been teaching Spanish for 10 years. I have experience teaching all levels of Spanish from pre-school to college. I've taught at 2 different schools in Indiana and have worked for the Department of Migrant Education as a migrant teacher. I graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor's degree in Spanish Education and a master's degree in Secondary Education. Currently, I am teaching Spanish I, III, and a dual credit course through Indiana University. I also enjoy incorporating technology into the curriculum. This year, my classes have connected with 2 schools in Haddonfield, New Jersey and Anaheim, California using a variety of tech applications such as Kidblog, Padlet, Mystery Skype, QR codes, and iPads. My high school students also teach Spanish to kindergartners in our district. Check out all of our fun classroom lessons in the blog!
I am a proud mom of 2 girls, Ella (6) and Caroline (2). In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Caleb, and my 2 beautiful girls. I also like to run. Last year, I ran my 3rd mini marathon!
